For children with
Gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes) or feeding ports, ostomy bags, bile bags, central
lines, apnea monitor leads, IV's, halo vest and crowns or other medical devices
attached to the torso.
The Bundie™ is an undergarment very similar
to a onesie with special pockets and ties that keep medical devices securely
stored away when not in use!
The removable front panel is equipped with two
unique pockets: one stores gastrostomy tubing, the other larger pocket stores
ostomy bags, bile bags or other medical devices attached to the torso.
The inside seams have ties to secure a
central line or monitor leads.
The armholes open completely for ease in
dressing, especially for those with IV's attached to them.
Available in sizes Preemie-4T. Jody Williams,
the creator of the Bundie, is currently expanding this line to include
children and youth sizes. These will be added to BellaBambino as soon as they
are available.
After being a foster parent for medically
fragile infants for over eight years, Jody found an immense need for clothing
that was safe and easy to use for babies and children with daily medical
needs. Out of her clothing frustration came this unique design! The
Bundie prevents the baby from pulling out their tubing and
consequently harming themself. Most importantly the Bundie does not
restrict the baby's movement which is critical for the child's development;
therefore, the parent undergoes significantly less stress and an assured
peace of mind.
As seen on ABC's Good Morning
America and in the February 2007 issue of Forbes Magazine.

Guidelines for use of
the Bundie: |
|
The front panel is
equipped with two special pockets. A smaller front pocket on the left
stores gastrostomy tubing. It is designed to hold a standard nursing pad
as well to absorb leaks.
The two pictures below show how to store a G-tube.
|
|
Storing the feeding tube:
#1 Coil the feeding tube and place inside the Bundie flap leaving the
end cap out.
|
|
Insert a standard nursing
pad inside the Bundie flap (absorbent side up), placing it over the
coiled tubing. Next, bring the end cap to the top of the pad before
closing the flap.
|
|
A larger pocket behind the
G-tube pocket accommodates ostomy bags, bile bags or other medical devices
attached to the torso.
|
|
The Bundie's front panel can be
completely removed and replaced with a clean panel without lifting or
disrobing the wearer.
The inside side seams have ties to secure a central line or apnea
monitor leads.
|
|
The armholes open completely
for ease in dressing, especially those with IV lines attached to the arms
or for those with a halo device.
|
| Nursing
pads are not included. Nursing pads are sold at most drug stores and are
either washable or disposable. Fabric prints are not available-photos
are for display purposes only. |
